This is a free community course kindly funded by a sponsor and is aimed at those carers who care for a family member or friend. This is not a workplace course for carers working in the care industry. People working in the volunteer section are more than welcome to join the sessions.
We also offer a Facebook page "Jersey Carers Forum" for you to join and gain further knowledge and awareness of related subjects.
Within the four sessions of the programme, our trainers will provide you with knowledge and skills in an informal atmosphere to assist you with your caring role. Most importantly the attendees will meet other carers and be able to share experiences in a safe environment and have the opportunity to join our Carers Support Group that meets monthly for ongoing support and social activities.
Places do need to be booked and confirmed before your attendance, so please do contact us on the email below.

Companion Scheme
Our Companion Scheme offers some social support to those being cared for to provide some respite for carers and for those that are socially isolated. Referrals can be received from carers themselves or health professionals. Companions can not provide any form of formal care but social interaction only.
Connect Me Social Group

Those requiring transport are collected and dropped home . Our members have to have a certain level of independence . Sometimes carers and those they care for are invited if numbers allow. Events have included Archive visits , Jersey Heritage site visits , gentle fitness activities to name a few .
